Building on the success of Smooth Kings Remix, we created something sensational for Season Two.
We developed an expansive and captivating music brand asset that propelled Budweiser to new heights.
In 2021, Budweiser created what became arguably the most successful digital music show in Nigeria: the first season of the Smooth Kings Remix show which reset the cultural zeitgeist. It brought 20 of the biggest Nigerian artists who put their twist on 10 of the biggest Nigerian classics. But, with a new season on the horizon, the question became… How can Budweiser take Smooth Kings Remix 2 to even greater heights?
We brought on board known names in the industry, making them hosts of the show and connoisseurs of the brilliance of Afrobeats, ensuring this season was more entertaining while connecting with the audience.
We hosted twitter space, radio shows and had top music acts in the country touch base with our audience.
For the second season of the show, two new hosts were signed up.
Vee, who performed on the previous season of Smooth Kings Remix, showed viewers the heights that upcoming artists can reach with a platform that pairs them with an established star. Vee was joined by Dada Boy Ehis. Known as Nigeria’s premier OAP, Dada Boy Ehis is highly regarded as a connoisseur of music and the brilliance of Afrobeat.
With these two as the faces of the new Smooth Kings Remix season, alongside popular acts like Victony, Skiibii, Teni and Yemi Alade, Budweiser was able to remind Nigerians that they are at the very heart of authentic Nigerian sounds.
