In a diverse career that spans local, regional, and global leadership roles, Andrea Terrassa is a pioneering business executive with a successful track record of tackling complex restructures focused on driving growth for agencies and clients alike. Not afraid to challenge convention, she is passionate about eliminating complexity to free people to deliver the best work of their careers, driven by a working philosophy centred as much on ambition and excellence as kindness and purpose.
As Dentsu Creative’s Global Chief Operating Officer, Andrea is a founding member of its executive team following dentsu International uniting its global creative agencies to form the network in June 2022. In October 2023 Andrea was also appointed Chief Operating Officer for dentsu Americas. In this role she is tasked with driving integration across all dentsu’s brands.
Before the launch of Dentsu Creative Andrea was Chief Operations Officer for dentsu International’s agency creative brands in the Americas. During her tenure this team achieved over 130 creative awards in 2021, a shortlist for Campaign’s ‘US Global Agency of the Year’ and listing on Ad Age’s 2022 ‘Agencies to Watch’. Prior to this Andrea acted as Chief Operations Officer for dentsu International’s US creative agency, 360i, seeing the business achieve notable growth, in addition to being recognised on Ad Age’s 2018 and 2019 ‘A-list’, awarded 2018 ‘Breakthrough Media Agency of the Year’ and among Campaign’s ‘25 Most Influential’ agencies.
Andrea began her career at WPP where she spent 18 years, latterly as Global Chief Operations Officer at Red Fuse. A proud Latina and active supporter of women in advertising, notably as a founding member of The Women’s Purpose community and the 5050 Women on Boards Leadership Committee. Andrea is a passionate advocate of the industry and leverages her power as an influence for good. Her contributions to the industry were recognized this year by Campaign US who listed her among their 40 over 40 honorees as well as 5050 Women on Boards who listed her among their 50 Women to Watch for Corporate Boards. She holds a Columbia Business School MBA and lives in New Jersey with her husband and three children.
